Review of The Hallow’s new remix

The Hallows are back with a energy filled remix of their recent single ‘Element’.

The remix is a new breath of life into the song and gives it much more of a commercial appeal, I can really imagine this track being played in a club on a Friday night. I particularly like the direction the song takes half way through, it really gathers momentum and the techno sounds behind become strong and powerful and really make you want to get up and dance along!

I was worried before listening to this that the original song would be overpowered by synthesised beats or strong techno melodies but this remix has really managed to keep the appeal of the original track whilst simply adding to it and enhancing it. This remix really brings out elements of the track that had slipped past me when I heard the original.

The alternative 3 piece pop group are really honing their sound and I hope fun remixes like this one will really feature in their future musical journey.

The Hallows have a couple of upcoming gigs, check out the dates and see if you could head along to one. I’m sure they are one of the bands who you really need to see live to fully appreciate their brilliance.

Gig dates:

Saturday 27th August @ The Workshop, Old Street, London

Saturday 1st October @ The Underbelly, Hoxton Square, London

Friday 14th October @ MK11, Kiln Farm, Milton Keynes
