‘Tomorrows’ Rising Star Adreyn Cash

Processed with VSCOcam with e3 preset

Alternative Soul SingerSongwriter Adreyn Cash announces the summer release of his new EP featuring two massive tracks

The EP, set for release this summer, will feature his already huge track ‘Anthem’, and the powerful new ‘Tomorrow’ which will be released on March 9th. With a sound resembling that of Lana Del Ray, Cash’s unique tracks ooze passion and innovation.

The single ‘Anthem’, which was released earlier this year, has already had great success. Inspired by his initial struggle with his music career, Adreyn wrote the song to remind himself of his unconditional love for the industry. The EP is titled ‘Rich Girls Don’t Marry Poor Boys’, taking inspiration from ‘The Great Gatsby’, and reflecting that sometimes in life we must put others before ourselves. Adreyn’s EP is about art, creating something that is transcendent, innovative and truly artistic.

Crediting artists including Bruno Mars, Miguel, Prince and Frank Ocean as his inspiration, the EP features a mixture of songs, some which are socially and politically influenced, and some that are about fun and love. It is Cash’s own representation of his world; “I want my music to bring light and knowledge to my generation…painting a picture with my voice and my words”, says Adreyn.

Having studied Commercial Music at Canterbury Christ Church University, Adreyn has applied his knowledge and artistic creativity to produce well written songs with strong vocal performances. With big plans for the future, it is safe to say this extremely talented artist is certainly one to watch.

From Beenie Man to Giggs; the story of Rising R&B star Alyssa English

Alyssa English will release her debut single on May 16th ahead of her forthcoming EP called ‘Girlfriend’, to be released May 26th.

Alyssa English is starting to be very well known in UK R&B circles. She has collaborated with dancehall giants Beenie Man and Maxi Priest and also recorded a track with the Award winning UK rapper Giggs, which will be on her forthcoming EP. Given the calibre of these artists and the fact that Alyssa is only a modest 18 years old, she’s definitely one to watch.

Alyssa was born in New York but later moved to Canada where she grew up in a world of music. Not only was she personally passionate but it ran in her family, as they were also musically oriented. Her uncle is in fact soul singer and songwriter Sam Dees, who wrote tracks for legends like Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, Whitney Houston and George Benson.

Whilst Alyssa can play piano and flute (just to mention a couple), it was learning to sing that her talents were spotted by her then vocal coach. One thing lead to another and her coach put her in touch with Kofi  management where William Kofi went on to become her manager, who could see the potential in Alyssa’s voice. From then on she knew that a career in music was the only way she was going to go. At the age of 15 she took the bold decision to move to the UK to follow her musical ambitions, and it seems that this was definitely the right choice! This was actually what influenced the ‘Girlfriend’ track.

Alyssa’s title EP track ‘Girlfriend’ takes a lot musically from the likes of Jason Derulo, JoJo and other R&B stars. In making the track, Alyssa came together with top industry producer Livingstone Brown (Snoop Dogg, Nelly, Shakira), who also helped to co-write the EP, Mike Stephens (Musical Director for Take That) and Luke Smith (an infamous session musician who’s worked with the likes of George Michael to Chaka Khan) for the final product.

Having completed a tour of UK schools so far, she is destined for bigger things with this new release so make sure to keep an eye out! Watch the video for the lead track ‘Girlfriend’ here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A26vUi5yY1c

Caribbean songwriter Lateefah to release ‘Love Me Through’ single April 18th

Neo-soul diva looks to build on success in her home country

St. Lucian beauty currently living in London, Lateefah is a soulful singer-songwriter who, having come to the UK to study her craft at University, is now looking to make it the first international music scene she breaks into.

The soulful single ‘Love Me Through’, produced by London based KING, is released on April 18th – an excellent introduction to her smooth vocal and laid back electronic soul sound. Having sang in church from a young age, many of her songs are pages from her diary influenced by her relationship with God and situations she’s had to deal with.

Recorded in St. Lucia, the pair put together the single and upcoming album over a very productive couple of weeks on the island, including some work with St. Lucia’s top reggae artist Semi. The music has made her a star there – seeing her top the charts on Reverb Nation – and she is now looking to continue that momentum in Britain.

Lateefah’s path into music was decided as young as three years of age, when her determination to succeed was typified by her relentless practicing to hit the right notes in the song ‘The Lord is my Shepherd’. Going over and over until she got it right. Once she had, she never looked back.

In the years since, she has dedicated herself to writing as well as teaching music to young children at the southern branch of the St. Lucia School of Music.

RnB Star McLean Reveals New Single ‘Does It hurt’

Mclean3SMALL

McLean, the award winning British singer-songwriter has marked his return with the sensational new single ‘Does It Hurt’.

The artist shot to fame back in 2007 with the track ‘Broken’, one of the singer’s early singles. Working under the alias Digga, the track spread throughout the urban and RnB scene worldwide and was picked up by high profile names, including Tinie Tempah, Tinchy Stryder and Professor Green who created their own remixes of the track. The success of the song led to McLean being signed by Atlantic Records. McLean’s second single ‘My Name’, released in 2010, clocked up a number 10 chart position in the UK Top 40 and peaked at no.5 in the UK R&B Chart. That year he went on to win the best music video category at the Urban Music Awards for the track and was nominated for a MOBO award. The exposure brought McLean into further contact with some of the industry’s top names and he went on to tour with N-Dubz, Trey Songz and Roll Deep, as well as featuring as a guest vocalist on tracks such as Chase and Status’ ‘Take U There’.

A whirlwind three years persuaded McLean into taking a step back from the scene for a short while. Travelling to the US, McLean switched focus to writing new material, working with producers in both New York and L.A. The trip was hugely beneficial and saw McLean penning the majority of his forthcoming album.

‘Does It Hurt’ presents the singer’s first official release since 2010’s ‘Finally In Love’. A supremely heartfelt song, from the opening piano melody to McLean’s powerful vocals, ‘Does It Hurt’ echoes the singer’s trademark emotive sound. The single has been produced by the amazing trio that is TMS (Producers of No. 1 hits such as ‘Read All About It’ by Professor Green/Emeli Sande & ‘Wings’ by Little Mix) along with being mixed and mastered by Grammy award winning producer Steve Orchard, who described McLean as ‘a great singer… [with] a lot of fresh energy’. The critically acclaimed singer is set to make a long awaited return with his excellent new single.

‘Does It Hurt’ is released on November 18th. Stream the song over on Soundcloud:
